You can engage in hands-on sessions, enhancing your knowledge as you experience personalized care. The 5-day Advanced Course combines personalized treatments with hands-on learning and diagnostics. Participants will explore Celestial Theory, practice Medical Qi Gong, and learn to prescribe herbal medicine based on Yin and Yang constitutions. Engaging in real patient case studies enhances the practical application of advanced acupuncture and holistic healing techniques.

Eligibility: You must be a TCM student or healthcare practitioner to join.

Course Description and What to Expect

Length: 5 Days, 10:00 AM - 4:30 PM (includes a 1-hour lunch break).

Lunch, snacks, and tea will be provided to keep you energized!

  • Day 1: Get to Know Each Other, Select Your Treatment, Receive Treatment, and Learn!

    • Begin by sharing your personal information and outlining your main health concerns.
    • Experience comprehensive diagnostic methods.
    • Explore Celestial Theory diagnosis based on the 5 Elements Theory.
    • Discuss your personalized treatment plan with our Acu Parents, tailored specifically to address your unique needs.
    • Day 2: Hands-On Learning and Treatment
      • Continue to experience hands-on treatments from our Acu Parents while gaining valuable techniques and insights. Engage in a practical learning environment where you will receive treatments specifically designed to illustrate key concepts in real-time.
    • Day 3: Celestial Constitution Theory and Type
      • Explore the intricacies of Celestial Theory diagnosis.
      • Learn about each Celestial Constitution Type, including its corresponding element, season, color, emotions, and personality traits.
      • Dive deep into the strengths and unique attributes of each type while mastering the skills to diagnose effectively and enhance energy through color.
      • Discover how to confirm diagnoses using energy testing methods, such as the O-ring test.
    • Day 4: Medical Qi Gong (Ba Duan Jian and 6 Healing Sounds)
      • Learn Ba Duan Jian (Eight Pieces of Brocade) to activate and awaken the acupuncture meridians.
      • Discover the 6 Healing Sounds of Qi Gong, along with their associated organs and emotions.
      • Understand how to treat patients based on their Celestial Constitution through targeted Qi Gong exercises.
      • Engage in hands-on Qi Gong sessions with Dr. Choi, a Senior Ba Duan Jin Gold Medalist from the 2023 Japan Health Qi Gong Competition.
      • Master the art of prescribing personalized Qi Gong movements tailored to each Celestial Type, enhancing your ability to meet diverse patient needs.
    • Day 5: Herbal Medicine Prescription
      • Discover how to prescribe herbal medicine according to Post-Heaven Body Constitution using Sang Han Lun principles.
      • Learn to differentiate between Yang-type and Yin-type individuals and prescribe suitable herbal formulas for each.
      • Participate in lively discussions around real patient case studies, such as managing skin issues during pregnancy or treating chronic headaches, to apply your knowledge to diverse cases.
      • Experience the SEASUN Decoction Room

        • See the tools and methods used to prepare herbal decoctions.
        • Learn how herbs are stored, including temperature and humidity controls.
        • Taste different herbal ingredients.
        • Discover the unique properties and benefits of fermented herbal medicine.
        • Learn how to make a fermented herbal decoction!

      Your personal information shared at SEASUN Clinic is protected under Korean patient privacy laws and will not be publicly disclosed. As the Advanced Course is held in a group setting, we ask for your consent to share relevant information within your group for educational purposes only. We also request that you agree not to share any personal details about others outside the course. Thank you for your understanding!

      Areas of Focus for Acu Parents

      Due to the limited time available during the 2-day treatment period, there are some constraints on what the Acu Parents can address. You may choose from the following symptoms to focus on during your treatment:

      • Cardiovascular disease
      • Gastrointestinal disease
      • Headache
      • Pelvic pain
      • Sciatica

      If there are specific symptoms you would like to address and learn about, please let us know in advance. We’ll check with the Acu Parents to see if they can accommodate your requests during this course! Additionally, kindly note that due to the limited time available on treatment days and the collaborative learning environment, results may vary from person to person.

      Diagnostic Methods

      To provide you with essential tips and insights from their 35+ years of experience, the following core diagnostic methods will be included in most treatment plans at no additional cost:

      • Full Spine X-Ray
      • Blood Test
      • Tongue Diagnosis
      • Celestial Constitution Type Diagnosis
      • Physical Response Testing (Biofeedback)

      If necessary, additional or alternative diagnostic methods may be applied based on your primary symptoms at no additional charge.

      What to Wear

      • Day 1 & Day 2: Wear comfortable clothing, as you’ll change into patient attire provided by the clinic during treatments.
      • Day 3 & Day 4: Dress comfortably for the Medicinal Qi Gong exercises. 
      • Day 5: Please wear scrubs and a white doctor’s gown.

      What to Bring

      • A white doctor’s gown (required if there’s an opportunity to shadow the Acu Parents).
      • Your own notebook and pen for note-taking on Days 3 and 4; a handout will also be provided.
      • Indoor shoes for Qi Gong practice on Day 4
      • A positive learning mindset and a smile!

      Clinic Environment

      This program takes place during SEASUN Clinic's regular operating hours, so there may be brief interruptions as the Acu Parents attend to their other patients. If the patients are comfortable with it, you may also have the chance to shadow the Acu Parents during their treatments!

Parts of the course may be recorded for marketing to help future students, but if you'd prefer not to appear, just let us know, and we’ll respect your privacy.

        Important Travel Information

        Please keep in mind that the Acu Parents' clinic is located in Busan, Korea. We recommend arriving in Busan a day before the course starts so you can come to the clinic the next day in the morning. Kindly note that transportation and accommodation fees (like flights, taxi, hotels, or Airbnb) are not included in the course cost. We’ll be providing you with recommendations for accommodations and detailed directions on how to reach the clinic from Incheon Airport for your convenience.

        Visa Exemptions: Citizens from many countries, including those in North America (USA, Canada), most of Europe (Schengen Area), Australia, and New Zealand, can enter South Korea without a visa for short stays, typically for tourism or business purposes.

        Please remember, it’s your responsibility to check your visa and travel eligibility. We recommend planning at least three months in advance of your visit!
